Joseph Nash was an English painter and lithographer, best known for his extraordinary renderings of historical buildings, particularly late Gothic buildings. This extraordinary set of lithographs depicting exterior and interior of Windsor Castle is a companion piece to Nash's major work "Mansions of England," published from 1839-1849.
Disbound volume with lithographs loose in covers, with spine scuffed and closed tears at head and tail of spine. Plates with foxing in margins, five of them with small one inch closed tears in upper margins, not affecting images. Plate XIII is sunned in margins. Tissue guard for plate IV missing. Binding in poor, plates in very good, lithographs in fine condition. Poor to fine condition. Item #56033
