This gorgeous facsimile edition of the unique Rothschild Haggadah is, according to its publishers statement, bound in vellum, "printed on specially milled parchment paper in up to nine colors", and decorated with gold metal foil and gold metal powder by craftsmen to reproduce the flat gold and burnished gold of the original manuscript. The Haggadah is considered among the most exquisite sections of the larger compendium manuscript known as the Rothschild Miscellany, originally created in Northern Italy in 1479. It is acclaimed as among the most lavish of all Hebrew illuminated manuscripts, and its parent volume, a manuscript of unrivaled in richness and scope. The compendium is currently held in the collection of the Israel Museum.

Accompanying the facsimile volume is companion volume containing a full English translation of the Haggadah text, along with critical and scholarly analysis.
