Seven facsimile etchings by Segers published on the occasion of the Hercules Segers exhibition at the Rijksmuseum. The prints were printed by Piezografie Bernard Ruijgrok in Amsterdam using a 12-color Canon PRO-4000 on 270-gram Hahnemühle White Velvet paper. To ensure the facsimile were as close to the original prints as possible, they were proofed and compared with the originals in three stages. The production of the luxury folder and the overall finishing and assembly by handboekbinderij van Daal in Dodewaard.

Hercules Segers' finest etchings in a limited edition and numbered edition. With an introduction by Huigen Leeflang, curator of the Rijksprentenkabinet, Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. "Seger's graphic experiments are difficult to reproduce. The best reproductions to date are the collotypes accompanying the catalogue raisonné by Jaro Springer, published in Berlin in 1910-1912. For this publication, seven key works from Seger's oeuvre have been selected from the Rijksmuseum collection. Printer Bernard Ruijgrok has produced the first facsimiles of these that truly do justice to Segers' etchings." (Leeflang)

One additional page with three color reproductions of works by Segers laid in. Text in Dutch. Minor wear along edges of portfolio. Prints in fine condition. Near fine to fine condition. Item #55236
