Numerous illustrations and logos rendered lithographically in black and orange, plus two color illustrations of book covers at rear. Includes ten pages with artwork in color and b/w offset printing to glossy paper. Among Erich Gruber's many well known works is the logo for the Leipziger Messe (Leipzig Fair), a renown business fair convening several times per year in Leipzig since the 12th Century. Gruner's design of the Leipzig Messe logo appears in several versions on the grounds of the famous fair: it is prominently incorporated at the entry gate of the "old" fair grounds, adorns the Fair Tower of the "new" fair grounds, and id prominrently displayed at the top of the Winter Garden high riser in Leipzig's city center.
