German answer to the 1933 book burning in Germany, culminating in the event in Berlin, in the presence of and with speech by Joseph Goebbles.

Contains foreword by the author, defending the book burning in Germany, generally as a change in time and mores of the young German people (young revolutionaries), and justifying his view further with the fact that he is not a poet, but having been a student after the end of the war, adept in and a lover of Christianity, and not having been part of the book burning himself. Therefore all but predestined to utter his opinion on the subject and defend the revolutionary deeds of the youth.

Back cover with advertisement for this title by Verlag für Berlin, with photo-portrait of the author. Laid in unsigned four page letter, dated March 1927. Very light wear along edges of dustjacket and block slightly age-toned. Very good condition. Item #55043
