'As Hergé's Tintin stories evolved the planes themselves take a more central place in Hergé's stories. The Tintin character was created by Hergé at the height of the golden age of aviation and step by step the airplanes become a major protagonist and, with the appearans of Laslo Carreidas' mythical private yet, the main focus in Flight 714.' (See tintin.com). The planes in the original French publication of Flight 714 were drawn by Hergé's Studio and were used as reference by the Larry Harmon Studios for the English edition.
