Publication on the "Behind the Scenes of the National Party Convention Film," coinciding with the premiere of the Riefenstahl film "Triumph of the Will" in Berlin, 1935. Riefenstahl distanced herself from this book after the war, claiming that she had never seen it before its publication. The film "Triumph of the Will" chronicles the 1934 NSDAP Party Congress in Nuremberg, the 2nd after Hitler took power, with more than 700,000 attendees.

This publication offers a view behind the scenes of the making of Riefenstahl's famous film. It includes full credits of the production crew, short reports on the quarters for the film crew, the dress rehearsal, Hitler's arrival, and daily briefs from September 5th through the 10th as well as a final report and a chapter describing the final product. Profusely illustrated with photogravures of the making of the film throughout.

Text in German, Gothic script. Wear along edges of wraps, with 2 x 1/2" chip at lower foredge corner, light along top front cover, light at spine, this with three small pieced of transparent tape; back cover with heavy chipping along foredge (uneven from 2 1/4 x 0.5" wide along foredge, and light rubbing and staining here. Starting at inside front cover. Last photographic plate with closed tear and creasing at middle of foredge, not affecting image. Last two photographs with light staining in image. Foredge with nick at middle. Wraps in overall poor to good-, interior very good. Protected in modern mylar. Poor to very good condition. Item #54917
