Frontispiece engraving. Deckled edges. Edition of 350, hand-numbered 19, and signed by Milne and Shepard on limitation page.

Second and final Milne novel featuring Winnie-the-Pooh, introducing the character Tigger. It was published on October 11, 1928, and received favorably by the press, not without expressing sadness over the fact that it was to be the last Pooh adventure. Published in the United Kingdom in three issues; there was a limited edition of 20 copies bound in vellum, the edition limited to 350 printed to handmade paper, and the regular trade edition. Profusely illustrated throughout by Ernest H. Shepard, rendered lithographically with several of them full page.

Dustjacket with some very light wear along top and bottom edges, sunned at spine and along edges with some light red color staining along bottom of back cover. Book with light wear along edge, very light bump at lower foredge corner. Several signatures unopened at top and foredge, starting at page 79, here roughly opened with tear in margins. Good to near fine condition. Item #54884
