In one of the notes Rebay is asking Doede whether there is a chance to show an exhibition shown in Hannover at the time in Düsseldorf afterwards, offering to pay for the costs. A note on the side says 'the watercolors are for the children.' In the second card Rebay bemoans that Gurlitt is exhibiting 'bad stuff (schlimmes Zeug) at the Kunstverein, naive I would call it.'
