Half titles; main titles in red and black; first volume with steel engraved frontispiece portrait. Publisher's navy blue polished calf, double ruled in gilt; gilt tooled spine with raised bands and morocco lettering pieces; marbled edges and endleaves. Covers rubbed with occasional mild scuffing; light wear at extremities, especially at the joints and spine caps (a few with skillful minor repairs); text faintly toned, else clean and fresh throughout. A very good set.
