Fascinating set containing scholarly articles on American Jewish historical, cultural and religious topics as well as notable Jewish figures, including Jews in the Civil and Revolutionary Wars. Illustrated with b/w photographic reproductions of portraits and a reproduction of an early painting of San Francisco. Also, the set covers issues such as east-west conflict in American Judaism.
