Contains chapters on meaning and basics of the East Germanic culture, including prehistoric construction of houses as well as written documents, the East Germanic construction of columns, comparison with related constructions and other stiles of wood construction, and the revival of indigenous architecture. Profusely illustrated with architectural drawings and plans, b/w photographs, and one color map of the Germanic homeland and Indo-Germanic proliferation. Contains subject index at rear, and two pages of publisher's publications. Text in German, Gothic script. Very light soiling of front cover, loss of lettering from removal of small circular sticker at tail of spine, spine lightly sunned. Very light staining and creasing of front free endpaper. Lightly starting after half-title and two small library stamps on title page. Good+ to very good condition. Item #54553
