This small pocket prayer book was issued for usage by Jewish chaplains (rabbis) in the US military during WWII. As stated on the title page and cover, included are payers for the sick, military funerals, and memorial services, with bilingual text in English and Hebrew. Content was compiled and prepared by Rabbi Aryeh Lev, head of the Jewish Chaplains of the US military, from a number of different orthodox, conservative and reform prayer books. Foreword remarks by leading American Sephardic rabbi David de Sola Pool (1885-1970). Covers with light age toning to the edges, and minor rubbing to corners. Pages throughout clean, with light age toning to the margins. Wrappers in very good, interior in near fine condition overall. vg to near fine. Item #54176
