Gilt lettering on the spine. Top edge gilt. This is #642 from a limited edition of 1500 copies hand-numbered on the colophon. Color photographic frontispiece with tissue guard. The book is a visual catalog illustrating 192 examples of Chinese ceramics from the Han through Mind periods. Included are 152 individual plates of photographic reproductions depicting the pieces, of which 49 are in color. Each plates is accompanied by a protective tissue guard with descriptive captions, opposite the image discussing historical and physical aspects of the item.
Binding with some light wear along edges of the front cover, slight fraying of paper at bottom back edge. Spine with some light rubbing and small circular paper attached, same color as spine. Lightly starting at page xiv. Interior with minor age toning to the edges of some pages, including the plates. Images unaffected. Binding in very good, interior in in very good+ condition overall.
