Beautifully produced Festschrift for the dedication of the waterway between Berlin and the Baltic Sea harbor Stettin. With seven striking full page collotypes by Hermann Rückwardt, depicting water gates and bridges. The text is illustrated with offset reproductions of photographs, technical drawings, plans and charts, provides an historic overview, describes the waterway, its construction and operation, and the culture and economy of the adjacent countryside. The nine double plates at rear contain eleven maps (Gea Verlag GmbH), two double plates depicting gradient diagrams, and one double plate with color drawings of the water gates in Hohensaaten and Niederfinow, all rendered lithographically, executed by the Berliner Lithographic Institute. Text in German. Very light wear along edges of binding, else in fine condition. Very good+ to fine condition. Item #53908
