Laid in a double page commemorating the fallen soldiers, a reminder for the living and an example for the coming generations. This tastefully executed commemorative plaque printed in black with gilt adorned frame honors the fallen soldiers employed by the Otto Elsner company.
Publication on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Elsner-Druck, one of the finest book printing & graphic design companies in 1920's Europe. Profusely illustrated with reproductions in photogravure of the founders & employee's of the company, in-text color drawings, as well as a group photograph taken on the 25th anniversary. Many pages in stunning chromolithographic, decorative borders, some in gilt, black and green. Latter part with descriptive text and color drawings offering Elsner company lore. Text in German. Coffee-stains along foredge and top edge of front wrapper. Chipping to tail of spine. Very light staining at upper foredge corner of last page. Light age-toning of French fold pages.
