Original half red morocco over rose cloth, spines lettered in gilt with elaborately gilt decorated compartments. Top edges gilt. This set is Illustrated with over 150 steel and copper plate engravings, printed on India Paper, mounted on leaves of heavy paper stock. Each plate has a tissue guard printed in red. Each title page is printed in red & black and with a copper engraved vignette. This deluxe edition is limited to 1,000 numbered sets (this being #46). Some of the outer hinges and spine extremities are lightly rubbed, and the outer front hinge of Vol. X is cracked but holding soundly. All in all, a very attractive set.
