This remarkable work is a pictorial survey of French Art Deco ironworks in the 1920s and early 1930s. The 32 striking photographic plates reproduced in heliotype depict numerous realized projects of hand railings, ironwork, gates, doors and doorways executed by some of the most famous architects and craftsmen of the period, such as: Raymond Subes, Schenck et Fils, Gilbert Poillerat, M. Bergue, Pierre Garnier, G. Le Bourgeois, Charles Piguet, Szabo, Viret and Marmorat, J. Alleman, Carlu, Louis-Hippolyte Boileau, Baudet, Donon, Roussel, Pedro Nadal, Pierre Patout, etc...
