This extraordinary work is a pictorial survey of French Art Deco ironworks in the 1920s and early 1930s. The 36 striking plates reproduced in sepiatone heliotypes, with at times hightened white details, depict numerous hand railings, ironwork, gates, doors and doorways, lamps, mirror frames, tables, grills, etc. executed by architects and craftsmen of the period, such as Edgar Brandt, Paul Laffillée, Richard Desvallieres, Bergue, Piguet, Raymond Subes, Edouard Schenck, Delion, Szabo, Nics Frères, Fred Peret, among others. Contains list of plates.

Text in French. Spine with some wear, joints cracked and blue cloth rolled up from bottom, about four inches. Front cover rubbed with some staining. Inside cover with inked inscription of previous owner. Plates age-toned, not affecting images. Good- to good+ condition. Item #51507
