The 10 gelatin silver prints were made from original negatives created by George Hurrell, hand developed, dodged, and burned by or under the personal direction of George Hurrell, published at the facilities of Producers Photographic Laboratory in Hollywood, California. Since each photograph is hand printed and is considered an individual work of art, there will be some variations from print to print.

250 suites each containing 10 silver prints signed and hand-numbered by the artist 1/250 to 250/250 on 16 x 20" paper. The photographs show John Barrymore, Charles Boyer, James Cagney, Joan Crawford, Jascha Heifetz, Veronica Lake, Gilbert Roland, Ann Sheridan, Gene Tierney, and Anna May Wong. With brief introduction by Douglas Fairbanks, JR. and facsimile print of certificate of authentication, signed George Hurrell and commentary on Hurrell's work by French art critic and cultural philosopher Pierre Restany, produced in facsimile.

Portfolio with light wear along edges and lightly rubbed. Text plates with minor ear along edges, two of them lightly age-toned. Near fine condition. Item #51090
