Paris: [Imprimerie de Pillet], 1815. First edition. Loose leaf. Folios, measuring on average 13 3/4x 8 3/4". Each issue is 4 pages, folded, printed in two-column format. This collection is comprised of 6 issues of the paper, nos. 167, 173-175, 180-181, printed June 16th-30th, 1815. Ink stamp of the "Dept. De La Seine" at the top right corner of the first page of each issue. The editor of the paper at the time was Jean Stevenin (1751-1840). These issues cover the pivotal period between the first days of the Waterloo Campaign, Napoleon's abdication, and the nomination of his son Napoleon II as Emperor. The publication was the first weekly newspaper in France, originally starting in 1631 and ultimately running until 1915. Pagination at the top of the pages is continuous from one issue to the next.

All issues with some light to moderate water stains. A few issues contain 1 or 2 small holes in margins (sometimes at the creases) with no loss of text. Folding creases. Issues in very good- condition overall. vg-. Item #51059
