'This present analysis, written by a young and inexperienced critic a little less than a decade ago... is set forth exactly as it was produced with its ingenuity and eventful flaws or incorrections... The Neoconcretist manifesto is clear: it proposes to take a critical position in the face of the mechanistic deviations of concrete art. But it also proposes to defend non figurative art, of a geometric language, against and kind of irrationalist tendencies. Dada and Surrealism are nominally mentioned as retrocessive movements. Its basic reference points are Mondrian, Pevsner and Malevich. The text defines what the constructivist ideologies with their evolutionist interpretations of Art History are, their proposals of social integration and their productive theories. Neoconcretism remains interested in the type of positiveness found at the core of the constructivist tradition – art as an instrument of social construction.' (Introduction) Text in Portuguese.
