Beautifully illustrated children's book of the sailor ABC, featuring full page color illustrations and drawings of adventures at sea by Karl Näht, accompanied by four line stanzas. Starting with semaphore for A=Anchor all the way to Z=Destroyer. The stanzas carry a martial, nationalistic tenor depicting warships, submarines, partially at battle, sailors at their daily chores, the loading of provisions, etc, explaining the sailor lingo letter by letter, word by word. Text in German. Binding with light wear and lightly rubbed. Lightly starting at front free endpaper and light smudging, mostly in margins of block. Good- condition. Item #50645
