This catalog is based on the manuscript of George Andrew Reisner, written at the close of the 19th century, including the Canopies that were kept in the museum during that time (when it was still at Gizeh). Counted were 797 Canopic jars, parts of jars and Canopic chests. They were given the numbers as noted in the title. Illustrated with sketches and hieroglyphics in the text and ninety-three plates with b/w photographs of Canopic jars. Binding in very good, interior in near fine condition.
