Special edition of "Die Frau" Volume 6, No. 51 for the exhibition at the Messepalast. Floor plan of exhibition hall for ground floor and level one on inside front cover, listing eighteen subject matters represented in the exhibition. The inside back cover lists organizers, including Vienna Women's Committee, the weekly "Die Frau," the Socialist Party, Socialist Youth, both in Vienna, "Kinderfreunde,"and the Renters Association of Austria. Design of the exhibition by painter Walter Harnisch, architect Oskar Payer and architect Maria Tölzer, followed by credits for the design of each exhibition hall and the exhibition plan.

The regular issue of the weekly contains articles on various issues of modern living, toys, e.g. "Don't Buy War Toys" is the caption for the cover illustration, and cultural issues. Includes literary contributions and a page dedicated to children as well as several advertisements. The last page of the the issue contains the program during the exhibition including lecture, various demonstrations, e.g. care of household appliances, and the Nonstop-Kino (Cinema). Back cover with photo-illustrated advertisements.

One of the prospectus lists the organizers, the honorary chair members, exhibition jury, finance and press committees, contains a brief introductory text, introduces the structure and guidelines for the exhibition and a provides a list of approved furniture, household goods and appliances of the exhibition. With handwritten additions and notes in pencil.

The second prospectus is issue by the Vienna department of "Social Housing and City Planning in Vienna." It is a detailed report on Social Housing with detailed arguments for the multitude of tasks involved in the prudent planning and execution. The second half of the prospectus is explain the twenty-three plates exhibited in "Die Frau Und Ihre Wohnung" at the Messepalast. Very good condition. Item #49864
