Paris: Ch. Juliot, 1900. Loose leaf. Two volumes, oblong (11 x 14 1/2"). 8pp., 32 plates in each volume. Original three quarter green, respectively orange cloth over illustrated words with green and orange lettering on string-tied portfolio covers. The designs were part of various universal expositions garnering silver and bronze medals in 1889 and 1900, and part of the collective library exposition for technical education. Both portfolios with brief introduction, descriptive list of plates and extracts of the publisher's catalog. Beautiful depiction of flowers and fruits in pastel colors rendered lithographically on thirty-two plates each.

Text in French. Bindings with very light wear along edges and rubbed. 1re Serie with plate 6 with light smudging and indentations from rolling perforation blade and smudging on verso, plate 7 with partial pencil grid in lower right image, plate 10 with numbered pencil grid in upper right image, plate 11 containing numbered pencil grid on upper image, plate 12 with numbered pencil grid drawn onto image, plate 13 with one and a half inch closed tear in left margin affecting image with two millimeters, plate 18 with a few minor spots in images, plate 21 containing some paint blotches in margins and some light spotting in images, plate 24 with foxing in margins, not affecting images, 2me. Serie with plate 3 containing an ink blotch in upper left margin with light spraying into the upper image of plate; plate 27 with creasing through lower right corner of image, plate 28 with light vertical creasing trough two images on the left. Some additional blemishes in margins and on versos of plates which do not affect the images. Good to very good condition. Item #48971
