A detailed study of the dimensions of the human form, by German sculptor Johann Gottfried Schadow (1764 – 1850) based on the work and art theory of foundational ancient Greek sculptor Polykleitos. Each image is printed on a double plate, measuring a total of 24x17", printed in black with detailed measured dimensions for visual reference. Includes full body images and various body parts. Binding with chipping and loosening of the backstrip of the spine. Covers with some stains, age toning and scratches. Interior with many plates starting along the gutters, with many detached (including the title). All plates present. Plates throughout with minor age toning along the edges. Sporadic minor water stains and/or smudges to a few plates (mostly on the versos), but most images are quite clean. Binding in fair interior in good- condition overall. fair to g-. Item #48373
