Issue #142 (October 11th, 1923) of the weekly Yiddish periodical focused on the issue of Jewish immigration. First established in 1921, by its editor and publisher by Gedalje Wajsbard (1890-1943), this Warsaw publication is believed to have run until at least 1926, and is now quite scarce. Wajsbard, a writer, journalist, editor and published had previously been a prominent contributor to the well known Yiddish-language newspaper "Der Haynt". He was killed in the Warsaw Ghetto during the Holocaust. Includes text, charts and period immigration-related advertisements, some of which are illustrated in black, including an image advertising the Red-Star Line to America, the French Line (to Cuba) and others. Text throughout in Yiddish. First page with some light stains along the upper edge. Pages throughout lightly age toned, with some occasional light creasing. Most pages are unopened. In overall very good- to very good condition. Protected by modern mylar. Quite scarce. vg- to vg. Item #48261
