Adriani was known for his research and publications on Alexandria, in particular its topography, architectural history as well as sculpture during the Greco-Roman age. Edited by Antonino di Vita and Nicola Bonacasa, these studies of Achille Adriani were first published in 1983 and 1984.
Impressive work, magnificently illustrated throughout the text and one hundred and forty six plates of b/w reproductions of photographs depicting the cultural environment of the time.
