Ogniwa. Czasopismo dla Rodzicow/ Huliot. Iton L'Horim (Links. A Magazine for Parents) Notebook 4 (31/32), Year 5. September-November 1936

Krakow/Lodz: Komitet Rodzicielski przy Zyd. Gimnazjum Szkole Powszechnej i Skole Rzemiosl w Krakowie, 1936. First edition. Softcover. Octavo. Polish Section: 1-39pp. Hebrew section: 39-48pp. [2]. Printed tan wrapper with black lettering in avant-garde typography on the covers. Separate Polish and Hebrew covers and title pages on opposite sides of the book block. This is the September-November 1936 issue of Ogniwa (meaning "Links"), the official bilingual magazine for parents of the students at the schools under the auspices of the Association of Jewish High Schools, in Poland. The association managed a network of separate Jewish boys and girls junior high schools in Krakow and Lodz. The general director and co-founder of these schools, as well as the editor of the magazine, was esteemed educator and writer Michal Brandstätter (1882-1943). The official credited publisher of the magazine is the "parents committee" of these schools, and the title of the magazine implies its philosophy of building and fostering a strong bond between the parents, students and faculty of the schools. The contents are in Polish and Hebrew, and include articles and essays on education, parenting and the various activities at the schools. The magazine was published from 1928-1939. This copy seems to be the Krakow variant of the magazine.
