Löwit, Berlin-Wien, publication, originally published in "Zeitschrift für Demographie und Statistik der Juden" in six installments of 1915 and 1916.

Study treating the development and distribution of the Jewish population in Poland, including the structure relating to gender, age, marital status, births, deaths, language spoken, education, economic status, and emigration. The analysis is limited to the area referred to as Congress of Vienna Poland (Kongreß-Polen), meaning the ten districts given to Russia based on the 1815 Congress accord. "Of the 1,321,000 Jewish citizens 95.8% spoke Yiddish and only 3.5% Polish, 0.5% Russian and 0.2% German." The data provided in the tables is based on surveys taken in 1870, 1897, 1906, 1908, and 1913. Text in German. Some wear along edges of wraps, small chips and closed tears, some light creasing.
