Hardcover. 1) The Lincoln Crest and Monogram Album. London. William Lincoln. Ca. 1890. Third edition. Octavo (8 1/4 x 6 3/4"). 32 leaves, [28]pp (Publisher's advertisement). Original blind-, gold-, and black-stamped olive cloth, with gold lettering to spine and front cover. Cart de Visit with crest by the Officers of his Majesty Prince Wilhelm mounted to page facing title page.

This album contains 32 leaves, each with an original design (mostly geometrical, some in the form of gothic-shaped church windows), with spaces being designed to fit the various shapes of crests and monograms. Each of the 32 leaves has been filled with various crests. Only the last leaf has not been fully completed as 6 spaces are left blank. However, two crests are laid in.

Facing leaf 12, an armorial bookplate of Sir Robert Gunning, 1st Baronet (1731-1816) has been pasted.
Facing leaf 13 is the "Seal of His Majesty's Ship"
Facing leaves 19 and 20, mounted armorial bookplate of Edward Treacher, with motto "Je vis en espoir" (I live in hope).
Facing leaf 21, an armorial bookplate of Frederick Gripper has been pasted.
Facing leaf 22, an armorial bookplate of Charles Powlett has been pasted.

This albums contains 575 various crests (573 affixed, two laid in). Minor age-wear and rubbing along edges. Binding in overall good+, interior in very good condition.

2) The Book of Crests. NP. (ca 1890). Quarto (9 3/4 x 7 3/4"). [57] leaves. Original gold, black and blind-stamped burgundy morocco, with geometrical design to covers. Dentelles. Moire endpapers. All paper edges gilt. Illustrated title page.

This album contains 57 leaves, each with an original design (mostly geometrical, and some being the representation of a gothic-shaped church window), with spaces being designed to fit the various shapes of crests and monograms.

Of all the 57 leaves (including title), only 13 have been filled with crests and monograms. This albums contains 191 various crests and monograms (190 affixed, one laid in). Binding and interior in very good condition.

3) Album Heraldique. London. Stationers' Hall. (ca 1890). Quarto (10 1/2 x 8 3/4"). Unpaginated. [22] leaves. Original blind stamped morocco. Raised bands. Dentelles. Moire endpapers. All paper edges gilt. Chromolithographic title page.

This album contains 21 leaves of good stout cardboard, each with an original design, with spaces being designed to fit the various shapes of crests and monograms.

Of all the 21 leaves, only 4 have been filled, and one partly. This album contains 56 various crests. Binding and interior in very good condition.
