Introduction by Edouard Daladier, then President of the Council (Prime Minister). Prestigious contributions by Paul Claudel, André Maurois, Paul Jamot, Paul Valéry, Georges Duhamel, Jean-Louis Vaudoyer, Général Gouraud, Raoul Dautry, and Léon-Paul Fargue. Photographs by Laure Albin-Guillot, Giraudon, Jacques Seligmann, Bulloz, L. Rothier, Henry de Ségogne, Paul Chevalier, Le Boyer, etc. Each photographic plate is reproduced in glorious photogravure.
