"Tal's photography in the last years indicate a strong desire for the understanding of the self... In a series of anti erotic nudes, and with a blatant voyeuristic exhibitionist attitude, Boaz Tal attacks in his photographs several social and cultural myths. His iconoclastic approach, deals with the status of women in Israeli society, criticizes the "Macho" versus the "Queen of the kitchen" attitude. The false drama in these carefully staged stark photographs, and the many little visual clues and puns he included, keep the ambiguous and swinging between the tragic and funny..." (Perez).

All twenty-three plates are loose with three double holes from staple binding at top edge, and with soft horizontal bend at middle. Transparent cover page with light age-toning. Overall in good very good condition. g to vg. Item #46370
