Edited by Edward William Grinfield (1785-1864), who founded and endowed an Oxford lectureship on the Septuagint in 1859, this "Helenistic edition" presents the T. R. (following Mill), illustrated by citations from the LXX., Origens's Hexapla, Josephus and Philo, given after each verse. In citing the LXX. the editor used chiefly L. Bos' text. (Darlow & Moule 4835).
Covers partly age-toned, with corners rubbed. Hinges reinforced with binders tape. Ex-library copy, with bookplate on inside of each front cover, and pocket on inside of each back cover.
