Lavishly illustrated throughout with numerous in-text and full-page b/w photographic reproductions, this book is the result of a trip through Siberia and Central Asia, made by the author during the summer and autumn of 1898. It consists mostly of letters written by him while on the journey, which were published by several Western newspapers.
