Large quarto. 70pp. Original maroon buckram boards, with blind-stamped ruling and gilt lettering on the front cover. Decorative olive-colored endpapers. Frontispiece photographic portrait of the author in b/w, with facsimile signature. An anatomical guide designed for use by tailors and garment manufacturers in producing clothing for, and properly measuring, the body proportions of various individuals of all ages, both male and female. The work is illustrated throughout with a total of 25 b/w plates, including photographic reproductions of nudes, and other visualizations of the dimensions of various body types, and human anatomy. In addition to discussing anatomical concepts, the text throughout discusses human growth and physical development, thus touching on certain aspects of endocrinology. Also included are some tables.

The company was known for their teaching of garment design and for producing textbooks on the subject. Publisher and author Charles J. Stone was the principal and founder of trade school "Chicago College of Garment Cutting" (aka The Charles J. Stone Co., Cutting School of the City of Chicago). The final pages contain illustrated advertisements for the company's trade school and their other publications.

Binding with some bumping and light rubbing to extremities. Interior with starting to a number of pages throughout, as well as sporadic small closed tears and/or smudges.
