In addition to discussing anatomical concepts, the text throughout discusses human growth and physical development, thus touching on certain aspects of endocrinology. Also included are some tables.

Stone was the principal and founder of trade school "Chicago College of Garment Cutting" (aka The Charles J. Stone Co., Cutting School of the City of Chicago). The final pages contain illustrated advertisements for the company's trade school and their other publications.
