This work is an artistic monograph on the work of acclaimed Polish sculptor Edward Wittig (1879 – 1941), notable for his many prominent monuments in Warsaw. The work discusses Wittig's artistic development throughout his career, and is illustrated throughout with b/w photographic reproductions of artist's works. Specific attention is given to the famous work he created in honor of the WWI airmen, including images of the work in progress, completed one year previous to the publication of this book. This monograph was co-published by the "Construction Committee of the Monument in honor of the Airmen".
