Frontispiece reproduction of a woodcut portrait of Dalcroze. This is a finely printed English translated edition of Émile Jaques-Dalcroze's pioneering treatise on his musical education philosophy, which he called "Eurhythmics". The groundbreaking and influential method sought teach students music through kinetic movement, helping them gain physical awareness and muti-sensory experiences of the music. The famed 1980s pop group took their name from this method. The book is illustrated throughout with lithographic illustrations displaying the movements and exercises, in black.
