Berlin: Verlag Alfred Weiner, 1932. First edition. Softcover. Large quarto. Approx 11.5x9". Unpaginated [6 pages]. B/w photo-illustrated stapled wrappers, with white lettering on the front cover. The publication is issue #1890 of the of the promotional supplement to the German weekly, Illustrierter Film-Kurier, promoting the release of the 1932 German film "Der Rebell", starring Luis Trenker. The booklet is profusely illustrated throughout with b/w photogravure images and photomontage, depicting scenes and characters from the film. Co-directed by Trenker himself, this mountain film is set in Tyrol, and tells the story of Severin Anderlan (based on real life figure Andreas Hofer) who leads a revolt against occupying French forces in 1809, during the Napoleonic Wars. An English-language version of the film was released the following year. This Deutsche-Universal production, was produced by Paul Kohner, who would later go on the become among the leading Hollywood talent agents, upon his emigration to the United States. Text throughout, including cast and crew credits, in German.

Wrappers with light rubbing along the spine and small pieces of scotch tape at the head and tail. Interior with a minor chip to the top corner of one of the pages. Wrappers in very good, interior very good+ condition overall. Protected by modern mylar. Scarce. vg to vg+. Item #44690
