This mimeographed and illustrated typescript is a paper presented at the meeting of the Skarzysko-Kamienna District Association of Technicians on March 30th, 1931. The paper discusses various solutions to the housing crisis in Poland during the interwar period.
The typed pages are numbered and single sided. The manuscript is profusely illustrated throughout with a total of 96 numbered individual figures, each on its own piece of paper which have been mounted onto the versos of the text pages, unnumbered (36 pages in total), relating to the text. These figures include maps, graphs, charts and statistical tables, as well as as many architectural renderings, measured drawings and detailed floor plans, some in purple and some in light brown. Many of these designs for apartment buildings and houses display modernist influences, especially Bauhaus. The final figure contains text in French. The text includes sporadic handwritten notes, annotations and/or corrections in pen throughout. There is a group of handwritten scraps of paper and contemporary newspaper clippings relating to the subjects discussed, laid in at the back.
Wrappers with some rubbing, chipping and creasing along the edges and to the corners. Covers with some light smudges and stains. Sporadic light foxing, smudges and creasing to pages throughout, mostly to the edges, with images and text mostly unaffected. The bottom right corner of a few pages with tears or closed tears. Wrappers in good-, interior in very good- condition overall. Extremely scarce. Protected by modern mylar. Item #44048
