Selection of 56 wallpaper samples presenting a variety of floral and checkered designs, e.g. Japanese, 19th Century, French, 18th Century, French, Louis XIV, England, 18th Century, as well as contemporary designs from America and France. Each sample is displayed full page or double page with 6 x 11.5" sheets tipped in containing printed details of the respective design with name, material, e.g. cotton print, the order number, the colors applied, the format, with an actual sample of the material, e.g. cotton print, glazed Chintz, cotton and linen print, pasted to the sheet. Details of the respective wallpaper includes additional printed information on opposite side or the back of sample, e.g. "Le Matin, No. 10975.06, 26 inches wide, 16 1/2 inch repeat, Le Matin – French, 18th Century. From block-printed Louis XIV design fashioned as a woman's morning dress in the Costume Institute Collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art."
