Metal Donation by the German People on the Occasion of the Führer's Birthday in the War Year 1940

Unique documentation album beginning with the national emblem on brown paper followed by Göring's official printed appeal addressing the "German Men and Women" to donate metal from their private holdings to support the German soldiers fighting at the front lines.
A colorful documentation album and overview of the project to collect metal donations. The album includes original printed mater, e.g. Göring's appeal itself, caricatures, charts, and 46 striking original b/w photographs. The album is organized to reflect the different categories of the donations with some color printed statistical charts The photographs show various donors and their contributions, light fixtures from the Reich Chancellery, the donation of the North German Lloyd, including a contribution by the Führer himself consisting of all bonze fixtures from the new and old Reichs Chancellery, his Munich flat and the Berghof. Some photographs show the lines of people waiting to make their contribution, various private donors with their donation, pictures of donors pulling loaded hand carts to the collection locations, sacrifices by sports organizations, the processing and sorting of the donations at the smelter, and an exhibition of the particularly beautiful donations arranged in front of flags with Reich Eagle, respectively Swastika was well as the loading of the melting furnace. Includes one photograph with Göring delivering the donation document to Adolf Hitler on his birthday. All photographs and printed matter are mounted to stiff paper stock plates with typed descriptors glued below each image.
