Official catalogue published on the occasion of the "Exhibition of War Material Taken From the Enemy" held in the majestic Gran Kursaal of San Sebastian in August 1938. The exhibition was organized by the Foreign Ministry of Nationalist Spain, and was intended to show the superiority of Franco's soldiers versus their Loyalist counterpart.
Contains over 60 photogravures showing the wide range of weapons used by the Republican Ejercito Popular, such as tanks, planes, machine guns, anti tank cannons, anti aircraft guns, mortars, rifles, cannon shells, gas masks, etc...
The Republicans received weapons and volunteers from the Soviet Union, Mexico, the International Socialist Movement and the International Brigades while the Nationalists had the most powerful military help from Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy.
This impressive arsenal gathered at the Gran Kursaal was soon disbanded and the weapons were handed over and sent to different Nationalist depots and arsenals.
