A travelogue of Max Geisenheyner from his journey around the world aboard the airship "Graf Zeppelin" starting in Friedrichshafen and via Berlin, Königsberg, Dünaburg, Wologda, Sibiria to Tokyo on the first leg in 102 hours managing some 12,000 kilometers. Detailed descriptions of the goings on on board and the sights encountered during the trip, including an episode where he is taking the reigns to steer the ship. The first leg is accompanied by 41 stunning photogravures.
The second leg leads from Tokyo via the Pacific Ocean to San Francisco and Los Angeles, some 10,000 kilometers in 80 hours, and the third leg from LA via El Paso, Chicago to Lakehurst, some 5,000 kilometers in 52 hours. This includes visits to the Meji Palace Mausoleum, the department store Mitsukoshi, a stretch of 40 hours flying through fog and an honorary citizenship of Alhambra, illustrated with 18 photogravures. The fourth leg from Lakehurst via the Atlantic Ocean, Santander, Bordeaux and back to Friedrichshafen in some 67 hours managing 9,100 kilometers and 17 photogravures. Contains listings of the crew of the airship and the passengers for the respective legs. A brief sketch of the "Old Count Zeppelin" with his portrait photograph at rear. All photographs except five were taken by Max Geisenheyner. Four are credited to the agency Wide World Photos and one to Walter Benesch-Miller.
