Collection of three (out of four) auction catalogues pertaining to the four auctions of Edgar Degas' paintings, pastels and drawings held at the Galerie Georges Petit in Paris between May 1918 and July 1919.
The first catalogue for the May 1918 opening auction is missing, however, the second catalogue (for the auction held on Dec. 11, 12, 13, 1918), the third catalogue (auction held on April 7, 8, 9, 1919), and the fourth catalogue (auction held on July 2, 3, and 4, 1919) are present.
Each catalogue is splendidly illustrated throughout with several hundred monochromes (386 for Vol. 2, 410 for Vol. 3, and 391 for Vol. 4).
Spine of Vol. 2 sunned. The bindings of Vols. 3 and 4 rubbed along edges. Captions in French. Bindings in overall good- to good, interior in good+ to very good condition. g- to vg. Item #42982
