Handsome production of the RKO annual with President George J. Schaefer's introduction stressing the unwritten law of theater "The Show Must Go On" in view of the outbreak of the war in Europe. Promotional publication commissioned by the studio for distribution to exhibitors, featuring recent and future film projects including Orson Welles' "John Citizen, USA.", the working title and first advertisement for the film Citizen Kane, Carole Lombard and Charles Laughton in "The Other Man," Ginger Rogers in "Kitty Foyle," Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz in "Too Many Girls," "Three Girls and a Gob" with Maureen O'Hara which had become the vehicle for Lucille Ball, 18 Walt Disney Single Reel Features, 13 documentaries of the film series "March of Time," and various other productions. Beautifully illustrated with mostly full page duo tone reproductions of film stills and artwork. Includes two large die-cut-color images of the actual books for the literary adaptations "Sister Carrie" and "Kitty Foyle." Some wear to corners, along edges and spine.
