Gripping photo-illustrated chronicle of the May 1970 disastrous flooding which occured in Satu Mare, the capital of Satu Mare county in Nortwest Romania, on the Somes River. The natural disaster caused the death of over 200 people, thousands of livestock and damaged and destroyed many homes, industrial plants, agricultural lands, tools and infrastructure.
