Illustrated with four splendid duo-tone lithographs by Dickinson & Co. (including frontispiece), "Eustace" is an elegy written by a grieving father to the memory of his son, Captain Eustace d'Eyncourt, who fell a victim to yellow fever, at the early age of 25, a few days after joining his regiment in Barbadoes, in 1842.
Binding age-toned along spine and edges. Cloth at lower part of front cover slightly rippled. Minor to moderate foxing throughout. Binding in overall good-, interior in good to very good condition. g- to vg. Item #41445
