Robertson's works on the "History of Scotland" (Vols. 1, 2), "Charles V. "(Vols. 3,4), and the "History of America" (Vols. 5,6) with and extended biographical contribution on Robertson by the Scottish philosopher and mathematician Dugal Stewart. Robertson (1721–1793), a Scottish historian and minister in the Church of Scotland, is credited with the rise of the University of Edingburg as an academic institution during his tenure as its principal. Bindings with same wear along edges, small chips, tears, light creasing at spines and bumps at corners. Volume one with four inch closed tear at head of spine.
